Salary Range: $47,000-$55,000 dependent on experience, with opportunities for advancement

Overview: The Evaluation Specialist will ensure United 4 Children’s (U4C) overall success by effectively and efficiently implementing classroom observations and evaluations of childcare programs receiving on-site coaching and mentoring services from U4C. The Evaluation Specialist will also be responsible for communicating observation and evaluation results with childcare providers and internal U4C team members. A successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a strengths-based mindset, and work well both independently and as part of a team. As a key member of U4C’s Program Services team, this position will have an active role in establishing relationships with clients, providing direct client services through observations and evaluations, and sharing the mission and core values of the agency. This temporary full-time grant funded position. 

What You Will Do 

Program Service Delivery (80%)

  • Support Evaluation Manager in development, implementation, and achievement of Evaluation Team plans based on agency outcomes. 
  • Complete all required evaluation/assessment documentation, paperwork and calculations in an accurate and timely manner. 
  • Effectively communicate evaluation and assessment results with clients. 
  • Collaborate with the client and coaching team to establish initial goals for quality improvement based on observation and evaluation results. 
  • Record all required agency data in MOPD and the United 4 Children Database within the specified time limits. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Internal Agency Collaboration and Professional Development (20%)

  • Become trained and reliable in a variety of evaluations and assessments relevant to early childhood settings (including, but not limited to: ITERS, ECERS, FCCERS, TPOT, TPITOS, ASQ-3, ASQ-SE, CLASS) and stay updated on proper implementation of these evaluations and assessments. 
  • Effectively communicate evaluation and assessment results with internal teams. 
  • Collaborate across internal teams to support progress of client goals. 
  • Perform peer review file checks to ensure Evaluation Team assessment data is accurate and reliable. 
  • Actively participate in required agency meetings and personal professional development. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Skills We Are Looking For 

  • An Associates degree or equivalent work experience in Early Childhood Development, Education, Social Services or related field   
  • Pass a Family Care and Safety Registry Screening  
  • Authorized to work in the United States  
  • Ability to retain a minimum of liability vehicle insurance  
  • Experience and skill working with diverse populations  
  • Successful implementation of trauma informed strategies  
  • Conscientious use of justice, equity, and inclusion lens when working with self and others   
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects  
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner  
  • Successful at working in multiple teams simultaneously  
  • Ability to work some weekends and nights
