Salary Range: $47,000-$55,000 dependent on experience, with opportunities for advancement

Overview: A Coaching Specialist will partner with Early Childhood Programs in the region to promote high quality, individualized, responsive and relationship-based coaching support.  The position is responsible for delivering bi-weekly and as-needed coaching to Infant/Toddler, Preschool and Homebased teachers. A successful candidate will have collaborative spirit, growth mind-set and a strengths-based approach.  As a coaching team member, you will be actively engaged in the community and across U4C programs to provide wrap-around services. This is a temporary full-time grant funded position. 

What You Will Do

Coaching in the Field (65%)

  • Develop strong partnerships with program directors and teachers.
  • Partner, observe and coach teachers and directors of early childhood programs to build their internal capacities to provide high quality interactions with children.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support educators and business owners to implement skills learned through professional development and growth areas identified through evaluations
  • Complete required agency documentation on time and accurately
  • Recruit, maintain and schedule a caseload of educators according to contract requirements
  • Actively participate in required meetings and personal professional development opportunities
  • Maintain and update coaching data tracking systems within required timeframe
  • Other duties as assigned

Administrative (35%)

Skills We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of an AA-degree or CDA or equivalent work experience/educational credits in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Family or Child Development, Elementary Education, Psychology, Social Services, or another related field
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children or teachers/staff of a childcare and early learning program
  • Self-motived, organized, and able to coordinate coaching caseload
  • Strong interpersonal and people skills and able to support diverse populations
  • Excellent communication skills, responsive and objective listener
  • A collaborative, positive attitude toward working as a team with other staff members
  • Successful implementation of trauma informed strategies
  • Conscientious use of justice, equity, and inclusion lens when working with self and others
  • Pass a Family Care and Safety Registry Screening
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to retain a minimum of liability vehicle insurance
  • Ability to work some weekends and nights
